Caution: Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulations containing Monensin. Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Monensin-medicated cattle feed is safe for use in cattle only. Do not feed to lactating dairy cows. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions. Do not exceed the levels of Monensin recommeded in the feeding directions, as reduced average daily gains may result. Feed continuously during periods of exposure to coccidia when coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS: Feed Elenbaas Excel Calf Developer Rumensin Medicated wtih at least twice the weight of forage so the total diet does not exceed 0.3 ppm supplemental selenium. Feed 0.14-1/0 mg of Monensin per pound of body weight depending on the severity of challenge by coccidia, up to a maximum of 200mg per head per day. One pound of Excel Calf Developer per hundred pound of body weight will provide 0.15 mg per pound of body weight. Some growers include limitied forage. Provide free choice water.
